Biography
I grew up in Buckingham, Virginia which is a small town approximately 35 minutes away from Longwood University. I am a first-generation college student in my family who is studying Communication Studies. I am critical of myself, my life, and what I do. I have to say I am an absolute perfectionist. I am always willing to seek new opportunities as well as looking for the next big step in my life to make myself successful.
When I started college as a freshman in 2018, I was a strong human being eager to learn with a quiet disposition. I would be too timid to raise my hand or too frightened to speak in front of an audience. As the years continued, it is currently 2021, and my demeanor has improved for the greater good. I am a critical-analytical thinker who makes informed decisions based on important values. These values include creativity, intelligence, dedication, and hard-working. After enduring these values, I now major in Communication Studies with a concentration in Digital Media.
Most of my experience working in the digital media field has foreseen these values from my implacable work. I have had experience with digital editing, media production, creating my personal brand, and graphic design. With this knowledge, my skills have increased when using editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Canva, and more.
The Communication classes and organizations provided at Longwood are a great asset to my future goals. They have been beneficial as well as taught me how to bring my communication skills to life by using video format and digital editing techniques. Granted, I hit multiple falls along the way. Do they get the best of me? At times. But, I love growing and learning to make myself better to become the best Multimedia Entertainment Reporter I can be.
